Description

The power supply module of the Covidien PB840 ventilator is the core component of its internal power system. It is responsible for converting external power into a stable voltage usable by the device and ensuring a seamless switch to backup power in the event of a main power outage, thus ensuring the patient's ventilation safety.

Features:

- When the AC mains power supply fails, the power module instantly (0 millisecond interruption) switches to either the internal battery or external DC power supply. The switching process does not cause the ventilator to restart or trigger an alarm, ensuring uninterrupted ventilation.

- Equipped with overvoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. When an output abnormality is detected, the module automatically cuts off the output to prevent damage to the ventilator's mainboard or other precision airflow control components.

- Supports globally compatible AC input voltage, adapting to different national and regional power grid standards without the need for manual voltage switching.

- The PB840's self-test system continuously monitors the health status of the power module. If a module failure or performance degradation is detected, the ventilator screen will issue a technical alarm, indicating the need for repair or replacement.
