The Mindray PV2015L20-A PiCCO catheter is a specialized arterial catheter for pulse-indicating continuous cardiac output monitoring in intensive care. It is part of invasive hemodynamic monitoring equipment and is primarily used for assessing circulatory function and volume status in critically ill patients. It enables continuous and accurate hemodynamic monitoring of critically ill patients through minimally invasive techniques, and is particularly adept at measuring unique parameters such as extravascular pulmonary edema and total cardiac volume.

Features:

- PiCCO technology eliminates the need for catheter placement in the pulmonary artery; instead, it uses a peripheral artery, resulting in less trauma and simpler operation.

- Temperature-sensitive probe: The catheter tip features a special thermistor probe that accurately detects minute changes in blood temperature.

- Dedicated compatibility: Designed specifically for use with PiCCO monitors, enabling continuous monitoring of cardiac output (PCCO) and arterial pressure.

- Catheter placement: Usually placed in the femoral or axillary artery.

- Compatibility: Must be used in conjunction with a central venous catheter. During testing, ice-cold saline is injected through the central vein, and the signal is received by the PiCCO catheter at the femoral artery end.

- Calibration: Periodic calibration using the thermodilution method is required to ensure data accuracy.
