Product Introduction
This product is the Masimo MS-2040 pulse oximetry monitoring board (model: 36292), used in the C60 patient monitor. This board features a compact, high-density PCB design and utilizes Masimo signal extraction technology. It directly connects to the host's pulse oximetry signal port, relying on mature optical acquisition algorithms to accurately receive, analyze, and transmit pulse oximetry and pulse rate signals. Precise pulse oximetry values and pulse waveforms are stably transmitted to the host screen for display and archiving. Simultaneously, status signals such as abnormal connection drops, probe detachment, and low signal levels are also synchronously fed back to the host, triggering standard audible and visual alerts to ensure accurate and timely clinical monitoring.

Advantages

Integrating Masimo's original core signal processing algorithm, coupled with multi-level filtering circuits and anti-static and anti-electromagnetic interference designs, it effectively resists interference from electrosurgical units and high-frequency equipment in wards. Even in scenarios with weak perfusion or high patient limb movement, it maintains stable blood oxygen and pulse rate data, avoiding numerical jumps and no readings.
2.Utilizing industrial-grade medical components, the FR-4 flame-retardant PCB substrate is high-temperature resistant and anti-aging, capable of withstanding 24 hours of continuous full-load operation. Long-term use is less prone to component bulging, circuit burning, and board damage, making it suitable for the high-frequency monitoring needs of hospitals.
3.Independent PCB board structure eliminates the need to disassemble the core components of the entire unit. In case of failure, individual boards can be disassembled and replaced, significantly reducing equipment downtime, lowering maintenance costs, and ensuring uninterrupted clinical monitoring.
Disassembly Procedure
Before proceeding, ensure all necessary preparations are complete: Turn off the Comen C60 monitor, disconnect the power cord and all external pulse oximeter probes and leads.
1. Unscrew the screws securing the monitor to the back or side of the unit. Gently remove the back cover/side cover to expose the internal circuit board installation area.
2. Locate the ribbon cable connector on the circuit board. Pinch the elastic clips at both ends of the ribbon cable and gently pull it outwards (do not pull the cable directly to prevent pin breakage or wire damage).
3. Unscrew the screws securing the pulse oximeter plate at the four corners. Store the screws carefully to avoid loss. Gently lift the circuit board by holding both sides with both hands to remove the old pulse oximeter plate completely.
